MY ANIMAL THE BOA

THE BOA

I was in the forest buritaca when suddenly I found myself watching a boa on the top of the tree, since according to research are nocturnal and solitary animals in the day are hidden in the branches of trees or in a hollow log and evening out to hunt down the ground only to drink water considering that they are very good swimmers.

It was very big and mysterious as this animal arouse strong feelings of admiration or general fear, realizing that they are reptiles that can have 4m in length. He had a brown color usually have a reddish or brown.

Many of my classmates were scared but they did not know was that this animal is not poisonous and its activities carried on at night so not going to fall. In addition, and feed primarily on animal and bird, bat, rat, lizard and possum among others.

These wonderful animals are cold blooded so they need to regulate the temperature of the sun.

When the snake lasts 4 months pregnant to give birth to a 20 to 60 pups with a size of 30 to 40cm.

Taking into account all this research I realized how wonderful they are, so we must care for our animals and nature so that they can have a better place to live.

MY ANIMAL HAWK

MY ANIMAL HAWK

The Hawk:

In the pedagogical output watch the gavilales these who stand out as the surprise attack as hunting technique.
Flies rapidly along a grove and suddenly is thrown upward to land on an unsuspecting group of finches, a victim and still catch your flight. If the prey escapes, the prey rarely try another attack.

During the tour guides told us that the main victims of male hawk are small birds, but the female, larger, occasionally kill birds as large as a dove.

The Hawks also eat chickens, game birds, "crime" for which they have suffered a large-scale persecution by hunters, until very recently were given legal protection.

They have good physical appearance are very short, rounded wings, long tail, the male is dark slate tops and bottom wavy reddish-brown, the female, the larger, upper parts brownish, lower dark-brown wavy ridge list
white.

MY ANIMAL THE BOA

MY ANIMAL THE BOA

The animals are so strange that without knowing they are there, they are one of these animals in the boa; this animal is very mysterious and is in the rainforest.

When you see for the first time this animal was in the rainforest Buritaca, was resting on a branch, apparently had eaten an animal and was quiet at the top of a large tree.

These animals sometimes eat mostly rodents, do not have fangs, they are not poisonous and do not tend to bother the man.

The boa is a large strong animal and large size can be between 5 or 6 feet long.
Their colors are very bright can be green, yellow or brown depending on the color of the trees where the animal from slipping.

Unfortunately the builder boas have been declared as a threatened species because its population should be strictly controlled.

At age six months boas are bright green with yellow belly. Surprisingly females may be 20 or 60 pups.

They are solitary and nocturnal animals. They spend the day hidden among the branches of trees or in a hollow log and go hunting after dark. They like to climb trees and build from there to ambush their prey. Also low to the ground often in search of water and a good swimmer.

MY ANIMAL "THE CAYMAN"

MY ANIMAL "THE CAYMAN"

During the educational outing we visited different places like Buritaca Tigrera, the bay of Santa Marta, Bachicha among others, in which there was a wide variety of vegetation, fauna and flora something that makes our city look the most beautiful.
In the middle of this tour we visited the trail in Buritaca Alunna Ugajeichi, where we saw the alligators were in the lake. This was very interesting, because this way we saw this animal, even though I had not left the lake.

Alligators are reptiles that live in warm, humid places, such as tropical forests in swamps. This class of animals have sharp teeth and powerful jaws to capture prey. They feed on a variety of animals ranging from insects to fish and frogs, turtles and birds.

We were also accompanied by civil defense guide, which told us that these animals had some customs, as was sleeping in the afternoon and that others did not come out of the lake when they felt a lot of noise.

Reproduction of the alligators is eggs. Mothers make a nest may be a hole in the sand or a small mountain of earth and dry leaves, grass and other vegetation.

We were told a detail of great importance, in many cases the mother is very jealous of the nest and newborn alligators, which is why he defends with all his ferocity.

We continually talk that alligators have teeth that are not served by chewing or cutting. Only serve to catch and hold. Also tend to hide under water dams. In this way it softens the meat so they tear. Finished swallowing the entire piece without chewing.

The tour guides told us that there were also other kinds of alligators as was the black caiman, who lives in the quiet rivers, wetlands and flooded forests, where is the food that is necessary for survival.
The black alligator is a reptile mainly nocturnal habits, with special adaptations in the vision that let you search for food in the dark. The animal is very agile in the water, but very awkward on land.

One very interesting thing they told us was that females had something in common, which was to defend her children fiercely, something that was very curious, because that way we relate to our reality.

There is great diversity of alligators as the following, since they have different lives:

• spectacled caiman.
• Black Caiman.
